NOVA Building Solutions (NBS) was founded in 2015 to meet a critical need: a federal‑ready, full‑service electrical contractor capable of executing complex projects across power, life‑safety and low‑voltage disciplines. We are a Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman‑Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). Nadine Villanueva Santiago
Founder & President
Nadine Villanueva Santiago is a veteran business leader and entrepreneur with a strong background in operational leadership, emergency response coordination, and strategic management. As Founder and Owner, she provides overall vision, strategic direction, and business leadership for the organization. Nadine previously served as an Officer in the United States Coast Guard, where she led teams in mission-critical operations and complex emergency response environments. During her military career, she coordinated large-scale response efforts involving multiple agencies, including hurricane response operations and national incident management activities. Her military experience instilled a disciplined, mission-driven leadership style focused on accountability, operational excellence, and teamwork. These principles continue to guide her approach to building and leading successful organizations. Nadine holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and brings a strategic, solutions-oriented perspective to business development and organizational growth. Her leadership combines military discipline with entrepreneurial vision, enabling the company to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions to commercial and government clients.
Rene O. Villanueva
Chief Operating Officer
Rene Villanueva serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing company operations, project execution, and strategic growth initiatives focused on federal and government construction programs. He brings more than two decades of experience in electrical infrastructure, life safety systems, and mission-critical facilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with federal standards and contractual requirements. As COO, he leads operational performance, workforce development, and quality assurance across all projects, ensuring the successful delivery of electrical and life safety infrastructure for mission-critical government facilities. Mr. Villanueva is a licensed Master Electrician and holds Fire Alarm Systems certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies NICET. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed multi-million-dollar electrical and life safety installations for federal agencies, defense installations, embassies, and critical infrastructure projects worldwide, including facilities operated by the United States Department of War and the Department of Homeland Security.
